Andrew Fox IT specialises in Infrastructure project work from planning, through implementation, to the final testing sign off.
Following LEAD training, we can deliver an efficient project. We have both the technical and corporate skills to ensure that the right solution is implemented, and can train internal staff to support the systems after the initial setup.
We have extensive experience in supporting Microsoft Exchange Server versions, and have completed migration task from 2003-2007-2010. Cloud infrastructure is becoming an increasingly popular choice for SME, and even some larger organisations. We can help transfer data from on-premise platforms to O395, including running the hybrid mode.
Close SummaryBackup is still an essential part of a business data cycle, but the technology has change significantly over the years. We have completed projects to ensure backup policies are relevant to the data, and make efficient use of space and bandwidth.
Software used to facilitate this include Veeam, Symantic BackupExec, Acronis, ArcServe, and Bacula.
Veeam is a particular specialty that allows both virtual and physical servers to be backed up in a varity of differerent models. It has many tools to complete the 3-2-1 methodology favoured by Veeam. It's quick restoration features also help to keep RTO times down.
We have core networking experience including smart switch configuration, vlans, routing, access lists, advanced routing (BGP/OSPF), link aggregation (LACP) and DR implementations including HSRP.
These skills have primarily been implemented on the Cisco and HP switch platforms, but the techniques and standards are equally applied to any supported system (e.g. firewalls).
Wireless implementation of distributed networks, including multiple SSID/VLAN systems to ensure segregation of traffic, both for security and bandwidth concerns. These projects involve integration with back end SQL and authentication services like Radius. Some projects allow the network to be dictated by the login, which in turn dictates based on group membership to allow easier on-going administration.
Firewalls are an essential for any business, no matter the size. We have configured different vendors using the standard security methodologies to ensure data is safe both from within and outside an organisation. These vendors include Checkpoint, Watchguard and Cisco ASA.
Most modern firewalls offer much more than simply port blocking, and we are experienced in configuring these 'Layer 7' policies, and user identity tracking capibilities.
SQL servers are usually at the core of an application, this reliance then has a heavy impact on the speed and reliability of the whole system. We have successfully completed projects to implement DR for MS SQL servers, and to migrate data between instances.
Close SummaryServer hardware support is a great value-add to any project, but having these core skills paves the way for data center migration projects, hardware upgrades and performance investigations.
Close SummaryWe have many years of experience supporting high end SAN solutions including Netapp and Compellent, but for SME or stand-alone projects we have also implemented QNAP and open source variants. This variety of experience give an excellent understanding of SAN/NAS capabilities, allowing an efficient analysis and implementation of any proposed system.
Close SummaryImplementation of web servers, including IIS, both as content delivery and reverse proxy variants.
Close SummaryManagement of larger projects, including purely liaising with multiple parties to ensure timelines are met, and the correct work is being done.
Close SummaryLots of experience with VMWare products; ESXi, vCenter (including plugins like autoupdate).
